ELLAKANDA NATIONAL PARK
Ellakanda national park is a place which has a naturally occurring tank and a large forest reserve. It is a huge area but a hidden place which having natural beauty.
LOCATION
Ellakanda forest reserve is located in 10km far from Matara town.There are mainly two access to enter the forest reserve.
- via ellakanda aranya senasanaya.
BIODIVERSITY
Ellakanda National Park has a huge biodiversity. And there are many endemic flora and fauna. Therefore Ellakanda is very useful for research groups. And also the wild tavern and this forest reserve seem to attract tourists. There are lot of medicinal plants and valuable plants.
Ellakanda is a best natural park for wild life photography.
